South Africa defeated Sri Lanka by 12 runs in a thrilling Twenty20 international in Colombo to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first and posted a total 115-6.
Jean Paul Duminy played a vital hand of 51 runs and at that moment to stable South Africa while David Miller scored quick 27 to guide South Africa to score 115 runs.

Sachitra Senanayake took 3 wickets while Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga manage to take one wicket each.

The second and third matches will be played in Hambantota on Sunday and Tuesday.
