The Meteorology Department says that Showery bad weather condition in the South western part of the island will be expected to continue. It will likely to reduce to some extent after today (07th September)
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces.
Several spells of showers will occur at North-western province.
Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly heavy falls (about 75-100 mm) are expected at some places, particularly in the Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Kaluthara, Galle, Matara, Polonnaruwa and Batticaloa districts.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
