The Sri Lanka National Rugby Union Team was able to  win the 3rd place at the Mumbai 7’s Rugby tournament at the Gymkhana Club grounds in Mumbai, India yesterday after leading 12-5 lead at halftime.
In this match between Sri Lanka and Malaysia, Sri Lankan rugby players were able to score a clean victory by 31-10.

Sri Lanka opened scoring through a try by Sandun Herath which was converted by Skipper Fazil Marija and then went ahead further through another try by Pradeep Liyanage to which Malaysia replied with a try to give Sri Lanka a 12-5 lead at half time.
However, Sri Lanka could not reach the finals as it was defeated before the Hong Kong team in the semi-finals by 33-19.
