E03 to be opened in October 2013

A new expressway E03,Sri Lanka's main international airport in Katunayake to Colombo will be ready to open in October 2013,the Road Development Authority (RDA) said.

The Authority said that only fixing of sign boards and planting of trees along the expressway are being carried out at present.

The expressway will have three lanes each side from Colombo to Peliyagoda and two lanes each side from Peliyagoda to Katunayake. There will be three inter changes on this expressway.

When the expressway opened, the time to travel from Colombo to the Airport will be reduced to about 15 minutes from the current one hour.
