Pakistan win thriller by 11 runs
Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 11 runs in a thrilling finish in the first one-day international in Sharjah, to go 1-0 up in the five match series.
Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and batted first, scoring an imposing 322-5 from their 50 overs.

Mohammad Hafeez top scored with 122 runs while Sohaib Maqsood and Sharjeel Khan both contributed with half centuries to steer their impressive total.

In reply started promisingly. Kusal Perera and Tillakaratne Dilshan put on 66 for the first wicket.


Senanayake slammed seven boundaries and a six in his 24-ball 42 before falling in the ninth over.

Seekkuge Prasanna smashed three sixes and four boundaries in his 25-ball 42 to bring Sri Lanka to the brink before being last man out. eventually ending at 311 all out, 11 runs shy of their total.
