Sri Lanka UNP(United National Party)National organizer Daya Gamage polled the highest number of preferential votes in Ampara district among all candidates in eastern province(Sri Lanka Provincial council election 2012).

Mr.Daya Gamage topped the list with 41,064 votes.

In second place is SLMC’s A. Lebbe (32,330 votes), followed by UPFA’s Wimalaweera Dissanayake (31,815 votes), Uduma Lebbe (24,033 votes) and UNP’s Chandradasa Galapatti (20,559 votes).
