Most popular Talented Sri Lankan actor Jagath Chamila was awarded the best actor's award at the New York City International Film Festival for his role in the
film 'Sam's Story' (Samige Kathawa), directed by Priyankara
Vithanachchi.
The film is based on Capt. Elmo Jayawardena's critically acclaimed
novel, 'Sam's Story'. The book was awarded the Gratiaen Prize in 2001.
