Sri Lanka beat South Africa by 17 runs on the D/L method in the second ODI after rain affected game Played at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. Sri Lanka lead the series 2-0.The hosts elected to bat first but struggled to reach 223 for nine wickets on a sluggish pitch.

South Africa were set a target of 176 from 29 overs under the D/L method they managed only 104/5 in 21 overs while Rangana Herath picked up 2 for 16 runs.

The two teams will now travel to Pallekele for the third and fourth ODIs scheduled for Friday and Sunday.
