New plan to prevent children contracting HIV virus

Health Ministry’s attention has been drawn on implementing a new programme for preventing children contracting HIV virus.National AIDS and Sexual Disease Prevention Unit Director Dr. Sisira Liyanage said 
under this programme pregnant mothers would be subjected to a test as to whether they had contracted the HIV virus.National AIDS and Sexual Disease Prevention Unit Director Dr. Sisira Liyanage requests pregnant mothers subject themselves to this test without any hesitation.
