Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) along with 60 local tourism industry partners will showcase Sri Lanka at the World Travel Market (WTM) this year.
The world's premier travel and tourism trade event will kick off today at the London's, Excel Exhibition Hall. The four-day event will conclude on Thursday November 7 2013.
During the event, SLTPB will conduct several promotional activities to highlight the country's attractions to the global tourism audience under the title of 'Wonder of Asia'.
The campaign will highlight Sri Lanka's 'One Island - Thousand Experiences' concept, which offers the traveler a complete round tour destination including the experience of Beaches, Heritage, wild life, Culture, Ayurveda, Festivals, Scenic Beauty and Adventure.
With all branding activities, seminars and other promotional activities, the SLTPB will also use the WTM to promote Sri Lanka as the host nation of the 2013 Commonwealth summit CHOGM 2013 that will be held in mid-November in Colombo.
Sri Lanka will also take steps to recognize the best Tour Operators in the UK, who sent the most number of tourists to the country during the period November 2012 to November 2013.
