 Mihin Lanka recently flew South Indian film star Mirchi Siva, along with 200 other passengers on the airline’s inaugural flight from Colombo to Chennai. Mirchi Siva has been featured in many Tamil films and comedies and is also a renowned radio jockey in India. In Colombo, all the passengers were served Indian sweets at the check-in counter and traditional kumkum powder was sprinkled before they entered the boarding gate. The passengers expressed their appreciation for the traditional ceremony which was organized for them on their departure and they were also delighted by the warm welcome that they received from the ground crew on their arrival in Chennai.
