Dimuth Karunaratne scored half century to guide Sri Lanka to a 10-wicket victory in the 1st Test against New Zealand at the Galle International Stadium.New Zealand Set Sri Lanka 93 to win, the hosts reached the target in one session with debutant Dimutha Karunaratne scoring a run-a-ball 60 not out.
New Zealand were dismissed for 118 shortly after lunch, leaving the hosts just 93 runs for victory
Spinner Rangana Herath thrived taking six wickets to finish with figures of 6/43 and give him 11 wickets in the match.
The hosts lead the two-match series 1-0.
