Angelo Mathews, who was declared the Man of the Match, tore through the top order to finish with figures of 3-14 after his four overs while Ajantha Mendis also picked up 3 wickets giving away just 12 runs.

Sri Lanka beat Netherlands by 9 wickets,in Group 1 of the World Twenty20Super 10 match in Chittagong, Bangladesh, to produce the biggest win in terms of balls to spare in T20 internationals. Batting first Netherlands posted the lowest ever score in a T20 international when they were bowled out for 39 after 10.3 over, allowing Sri Lanka to reach their target with 15 overs remaining.

Kusal Perera who made 14 runs, including a boundary and a six, was the only wicket to fall as T.M. Dilshan (12) and Mahela Jayawardena (11) guided the Lankans to an easy victory with 90 balls to spare.
The previous lowest total in a Twenty20 international was 56 made by Kenya against Afghanistan at Sharjah in 2013
