Orient Insurance Launches ‘Travel Care’ Insurance for Travellers

Orient Insurance Sri Lanka, a member of the Al-Futtaim Group, launched ‘Travel Care’, its latest travel insurance product for individuals and companies. The launch event took place at Hilton Residencies, in the presence of Omer Elamin, Chairman Orient Insurance Sri Lanka and President, Orient Group of the UAE along with Deshabandu Tilak De Zoysa; the Vice Chairman and Ainsley Alles the CEO of Orient Insurance Sri Lanka with senior management and staff from the company.

In reflection of a growing need in the market for a total travel insurance solution, Orient Insurance launched ‘Travel Care’ in partnership with international claims settlement provider, Specialty Assist and software specialist, Jupiter Mars Technologies. ‘Travel Care’ is ideal for families, students, entrepreneurs, and company employees who are travelling overseas for business or leisure purposes. The policy is also easy to issue and travel agents can benefit from a seamless and convenient process, which enables them to offer customers comprehensive travel insurance at an affordable price.

‘Travel Care’ is a unique comprehensive policy that meets both personal and corporate travel needs during an outbound journey, overseas stay or when returning home. With ‘Travel Care’, policyholders receive assistance when dealing with lost luggage, lost passports as well as government and consulate liaisons. The policy covers personal injury/death, medical expenses and evacuation costs incurred due to accidents or sickness. It also covers emergency travel assistance such as help with hotel bookings, ticketing, additional cash and baggage delays.  The ‘Travel Care’ policy additionally protects customers from disruption in travel due to hijacking, legal liability arising from personal negligence and expenses due to trip delays and cancellations.  The policy is tailored to cover all eventualities and provides each customer with complete peace of mind throughout their journey.

Launching the new ‘Travel Care’ product, Omer Elamin, Chairman of Orient Insurance Sri Lanka and President, Orient Group highlighted the group’s financial strength and synergy. Orient Insurance Sri Lanka has been in operation since December 2011 as a general insurance company, licensed by the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka.
