Sri Lanka’s leading menswear specialist Hameedia produced a national winner in the Fashion and Clothing category at the recent NASCO Awards. The Silver award in the Fashion and Clothing category was won by M. H. M. Asker, a Territory Manager at Hameedia Stores, Negombo. Fouzul Hameed, Managing Director, Hameedia said, “It was encouraging to see a member of the Hameedia team being recognized for excellent service. Winning this award is a great honour since we have benchmarked ourselves as a market leader in different spheres of fashion. Service is an important part of our offering and throughout our company, our team remains dedicated to delivering quality service throughout the entire retail experience.”

The NASCO Awards is the premier event in Sri Lanka which recognizes sales excellence and rewards and motivates sales professionals to achieve greater heights. NASCO aims to raise the standard of sales professionalism in Sri Lanka, to recognize and reward the performance capability of staff and the potential capacity of sales professionals to enhance the profile of the sales profession in Sri Lanka.

The Hameedia brand has grown over the past years to become one of Sri Lanka’s premier brands. In 2010 it created history in Sri Lanka’s clothing industry by winning its first ever award at the SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2010 — a Silver award for ‘Service Brand of the Year 2010’, and also a Bronze award for ‘Innovative Brand of the Year 2010’.
