Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin celebrates 69th
Anniversary of the Independence Day

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin celebrated the 69th Anniversary of the Independence day on 4th February 2017, at at the Embassy premises. Around 300 guests, including senior officers from the German Federal Foreign Office, journalists and members of the Sri Lankan Community attended the event.

Among the special guests were Ambassador Sabine Sparwasser – Director General of the Asia Pacific Division of the German Foreign Office and Frank Mückisch – District Councillor for the Division of Education, Culture, Sports and Social Affairs.The participants also enjoyed a traditional Sri Lankan meal organized by the Embassy.
