| Mahela to follow Sanga into retirement from T20Is |
Sri Lankan Veteran cricketer Mahela Jayawardene will retire from T20 international at the end of ICC World T20 2014 event, along with Kumar Sangakkara, International Cricket Council’s (ICC) announced the news on Twitter on Monday.
Jayawardene has appeared in all four T20 World Cup events till now and 2014 event in Bangladesh will be his last one. Earlier Sangakkara announced his retirement from T20 International after the ICC World T20 2014.
Jayawardene’s announcement came through a photo with Sangakkara that bore the message: “Last World T20, let’s make it count,” signed by the two players.
