| Awareness programme on the use of social media for Sri Lanka |
Concerned by the rising incidents of suicide and other abuses related to the use of online social networks such as Facebook ,twitter,
Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Response Team (SLCERT) cooperating with the Education Ministryare are formulating an awareness program to inform public on the use of online social networks,
in a manner that will be beneficially to all, CERT|CC Information Security Engineer Roshan Chandragupta said.
Mr.Chandragupta said students will be educated on the importance of privacy and security when using social media networks.
He said in future the Education Ministry might include the use of social media networks as a subject in Information Technology.
